Dogs are dying in temple and shelters, how to help them ? Order food online and deliver at temple ?

So I went there and they are really starving !!!

Anybody can confirm delivery address or even bring food there 2 or 3 times a week ?

Usually people do not finish their dishes, so why not giving the left over to dogs at temple and shelters ?

Sorry, can we move this message to Pattaya forum as it seems to concern Pattaya mostly ?

thank you.

You are a good person for doing this.

But unfortunately it is not only Pattaya. All over Thailand temples and animal sanctuaries are facing this trouble. Many animal rescue centers have a nice income from tourists coming to vist them and donating something and from things like coffeeshops where you can meet some cats or dogs to play with or adopt. That income has now all but run dry, making their future uncertain.

A few of the animal shelters affected are:

Koh Samui

And many more all over Thailand.

They might eat it themselves ! Better only give to animals directly !

Did you go to the temple posted above ?

I'd rather 'send a vet' and give the money to a human

typical of the Monks, they don't give a sxxt about anyone but themselves.  They have plenty of food to feed them, food they take off poor people every morning.  They are parasites on society, let them do the job.

I was going to ask what goo  things monks carry out for others.

There are many more in Thailand, but a lot of them have Thai language websites only.

Most of the places will provide a free healthcheck for peopel who don't have money to take care of their sick animal. I understand there are a lot of puppies and kittens being abondend now as people can't afford to keep them.

PAWS bangkok is desperate for donations to help cats that are sick. Seems they don't have any finacial reserves and facing high bills for their care.

Now also on the Thai news about a temple in Bangkok where people dump their pets because of the COVID-crisis. It is a nation wide problem, only getting bigger as resources dry out.

Please consider donating to charities, with money or goods. Simple things like old towels and sheets are also welcome for cleaning and sleeping on.
