Popular Post holy cow cm
Good on the Thai man and hope it shows others to be kind, but I also hope a crack pot Thai does not flip it around saying foreigners are taking food away from Thai because they overstayed their time of being here and they have no money draining their reserves. Now how is that for a positive and negative post! 2
EVENKEEL
Feel good "Damage Control". This will make those dirty farang forget about the slingshot story.
Popular Post donnacha
A kind-hearted gesture by the Thai, but foolish. The three "hungry" farangs in the first picture are wearing relatively expensive and recently laundered clothes, while the woman has expensively dyed blonde hair. The men have gym bodies and recent haircuts. Sure, some people will have to stretch their budgets if they have to stay in Thailand longer than planned, but anyone who could afford to fly across the world for an exotic vacation almost certainly has credit facilities that most Thais could only dream of, along with plenty of family and friends who could loan them money. They can afford to buy their own damn omelettes. Also, this whole thing of people being "stuck" in Thailand. It was pretty clear from the end of January onwards that the virus was going to be a problem. By the end of February it was obvious that flights would end up getting disrupted and that people should be planning ahead. Flights were also still cheap, and by early March many airlines began allowing passengers to change their dates for free. No farang can credibly claim to have been taken by surprise. Anyone who is in Thailand made a decision to stay there for the duration. No one should be blagging free meals from Thais. Here on TVF, we know that many expats have been generous towards Thais who provide services to them in normal times, recognizing that they have a particularly hard time ahead. As far as most Thais will know from social media stories like this, however, farangs are takers, not givers. Can we criticize that? Or how about the fact that that page isn't on Thai news but this feelgood "All-Thais-Are-Angels" story is? A genuine good-hearted gesture? Sure, if it's real. But you can't deny this stinks of a damage control PR campaign. C'mon, think of the bigger picture here. A 600,000 strong FB Phuket-based page of racists getting some public attention, and then suddenly- boom - like clockwork, a feel-good article about the kindness of Phuket people? No. It's no different to stories of honest taxi drivers turning in bags of diamonds and cash that get published like clockwork after another story of condemnation. Edit: I'll also add that the ThaiVisa article about that FB page in question is no longer available. Make of that what you will! Yes you have hit the nail on the head. Popular Post BestB
There are genuine and caring people out there, no matter Thai or western or black or whatever else. There are just as many parasites out there. One of my staff, got a call from 2 of her friends in Burriram, both in the hospital with Covid. Their advise to her was to stay away from foreigners because its foreigners who spreading the virus. Her having a brain and a sharp mouth, she asked them both where they got Covid from and both were at another friends party, all Thai. So she said, funny, that if its foreigners, who are spreading, how did you both get it from a Thai? Then to rub it in little more, she asked if they still had a job or were being paid, they said both were fired with no salary, her reply was, she works for a foreigner, and still getting paid, even though does not need to go work. Moral of the story? the beginning of my post, it is just human, race, idiots, morons, parasites and the good heart people who do not care of the color or race, but help all living beings. 10

I did that, milled about 12-14 kilos of rice, wife handed out to a few poor people. Come on you lot, get up of your backsides and do your bit, help poor folk. We are doing exactly that - started off with one day giving out 400 meals - now two days a week - probably a 1000+ meals - all from a restaurant in Jomtien. The bars are all doing similar things. The contributions from expats, Thais and people around the world has been heartwarming. Pattaya has many organisations looking after the welfare , education of the families in slums etc I’ve given a fair bit - so actually there are many who care . well said . 1
