When can we buy alcohol again?

The announcements were that Bangkok was banning alcohol sales for 10 days, but the dates given were from 10-20 April which is 11 days.  This is inconsistent.  So, when (assuming the authorities in their wisdom don't decide to extend the ban) can we buy alcohol again? 11 a.m. on the 20th? 21st? Or some other time?

Korat has extended the alcohol sales ban till 30 April.

Nonthaburi has extended the ban from the 20th to the 30th. That would seem a bit pointless if not expecting Bangkok to do the same.

Rayong:   alcohol sales resume Thursday, April 16

Ayuttaya:  alcohol sales resume Friday, April 17

Chachoengsao, Ratchaburi, Pathumthani:  alcohol sales resume Monday, April 20

Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Nonthaburi, Bangkok: alcohol sales resume Tuesday April 21

Samut Songkram, Nakon Prathom, Chonburi: alcohol sales resume Friday May 1

 

Although from above it sounds like Nonthaburi may have changed to align with Nakon Prathom.

I would imagine the Government will soon be missing the Tax income, since all tourism tax is also lost, so perhaps they will not extend?

If alcohol is banned for preventing a few dozen covid-19 deaths wouldn't it be a good idea to ban it to prevent the 20000+ annual carnage on the roads where about half are due to alcohol. As a beer and wine drinker myself I would be pretty miffed but the logic is there

I know a Thai women who runs an alcohol shop in Chiang Mai. The ban here is until the 20th, but she said it could be extended until the 30th, so who knows? Nothing we can do if it does get extended.

It will be extended to the 30th everywhere. Some provinces already, but no point banning in one province but people can drive 5 mins to another province.

The alcohol ban is what you get when an extreme religious fundamentalist takes power by force against the will of the people.

 

He wants to control everyone, eliminate critical thinking and take the country back several hundred years.

 

Prayut taking over Thailand is like the ayatollah taking over Iran. Thailand will have to endure a period of repression and darkness. Maybe a long period. History will not be kind to him.

AFAIK the ban in Chiang Rai province is still April 12 - 16, so it looks like it is individual province governors making the decision.

sakon nakhon was suppose to open the 16th .Its been imposed for two weeks!

My wife just told as of today they are pushing it up to the 30th.

 

I had no problem in understanding the ban because of songran ,but now lol
