rooster59
Sa Kaeo province is Covid-19-free as last patient is discharged after full recovery By THE NATION Medical staff of Sa Kaeo Crown Prince Hospital led by hospital director Dr Surasit Jitpitak on Friday (April 17) bid farewell to the last Covid-19 patient who was treated at the hospital, as he had fully recovered. Hospital staff also stood in a line to applaud and offer flowers to the patient as well as doctors and nurses to acknowledge their hard work in the last few weeks. The patient, a local of Wattana Nakhon district, was ordered to be in self-quarantine at home for another 14 days and monitor his health closely. He was the last patient under treatment in the province, and his recovery means Sa Kaeo currently has zero active cases of Covid-19. The accumulated number of confirmed cases in the province stands at 10. Sa Kaeo public health officer Dr Supphachoke Wetchaphesat said that in the past 14 days there had been no new Covid-19 case in the province. “We would like to thank all medical staff for their hard work and the public for adhering to measures announced by the Ministry of Public Health to prevent the spread of the virus,” he said. “Please keep up the good work until the situation returns to normal.” Source: https://www.nationthailand.com/news/30386302 -- © Copyright The Nation Thailand 2020-04-18 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
