Popular Post AllanB
A while ago I bought a really nice hose, but no carrier, which dont work very well anyway, So thought about using a spare wheel, then this, a 20 baht washing up bowl, drilled a hole in the wall, a rawlplug, screw and penny washer, works great. If you hose is heavy you could use 2 or 3 screws.
tifino
it'll unhappily survive maybe less than 3 months; until the UV outside, does its job on the plastic...

Crossy
Does the Missus know you've drilled a hole in her bathtub? I would paint it with some acrylic (rough it up first) to give it a bit of a chance against the UV. 1

Our washing bowls spend their lives outside and are many years old, plus the wall this is mounted on is in permenant shade. I expect to get a few years use out of this and that's longer than hoses last, so 20baht ever other year, I can live with that. ....and there's me thinking it was an original idea...had the same trouble with the wheel I invented a few years back. 1
kamalabob2
The plastic tub and the aluminum tub are excellent ideas. I have priced the Gardena retractable wall mounted hose box. Just a tad more than I wanted to spend in 2020 on a 35 meter 1/2 hose. Stainless from my local stainless fence shop was in my price range. https://www.gardenthailand.com/en/product/24634/wall-mounted-hose-box-35-roll-up-automatic-li
RichCor
I think we borrowed the front wheels off the neighbor's car, as I don't know where these came from...
