Good for him for doing that job, but how for long will the masks be free? There is no such thing as a free lunch. If the factory runs at a loss he can claim for a tax relief which I am sure his accountants will do. The tax relief would be a percentage of the loss so he’d still be losing money. The same goes for charitable donations. Do people on this forum have a problem with basic mathematics?

Basic mathematics count for nothing here. Creative accountancy is a much better way for rich people. It is rarely what you know but who you know that makes you rich in Thailand.

Maybe your abacus needs a battery change My calculator tells me it's 2.189141856392294e-4. That is 0.0002189141856392294. Which translates to 0.02%. So, yeah, he's math is wrong. So 50 of 100 = 50/100=0.5% in your math, and not 50% as it really is.

And if you want to calculate back from percentage , percentage/100 X amount= percentage amount.
