webfact
Rayong: Desperate crowds queue in the rain for 100 baht handouts Picture: Sanook Our picture shows two aging sisters from the Pak Nam area of Rayong in eastern Thailand. Sao, 67, and Suchin, 79, heard about a handout of food and money on social media and via word of mouth. They joined 1000 others who were each given a queue number at the fountain area in front of an IT center.. The sisters were pleased to get their rice that they said could be used for many meals. They would use the money for meds to treat a bad leg. The Red Cross and owner of the Star IT Center handed out 1000 envelopes containing 100 baht each, 1000 kilos of rice, hundreds of sets of Chester Grill food, noodles, and 1000 masks. Last month 500 turned up. Picture: Sanook This month they were almost overwhelmed as people impoverished by the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis waited patiently in line - even though it was raining. Sanook said that one meter distancing was observed. Pictures on their site suggested that this was a generous assessment. Broeno
The beautiful paint and gold leaf are peeling off. Now you can see how rotten Thailand's underlying carcass is.
