Pattaya: Lockdown set to end - restrictions lifted from May 5th

Thai media Bangkok Biz News reported that Pattaya's mayor Sontaya Khunpluem said today that Pattaya's lockdown will come to an end on May 4th.

People will be able to move in and out freely from May 5th, next Tuesday.

The mayor thanked people for their forbearance and said that Pattaya had now been declared a "White Area" after 16 days without a new Covid-19 case.

The decision follows a meeting of the authorities in Chonburi on Wednesday.

Restaurants yes, bars no.

Restaurants are not allowed to sell alcohol and must maintain a set distance (1.5 metres I think it is) between customers.

And does it become a "Black Area" with the first post-reopening Covid-19 case?

You answered your own question in the same post.

Restrictions set by the government can not be replaced by a local mayor
