Officials on Koh Chang have announced that some of the restrictions put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 have been lifted.

Many of the checkpoints set up to screen people as they travelled around the island are to be removed.

Only people from Trat or residents are still permitted to enter and they will be screened at the piers prior to boarding ferries to the island..

The large checkpoint at Saen Tung on the mainland will also remain in place and continue to screen people entering Trat province.

Other restrictions lifted coincide with the government guidelines on opening some businesses, including markets, restaurants, convenience stores, salons and pet shops.

Like the rest of the country, ban on alcohol sales remains in place.

If you are on the island can you leave there by car or is that still under quarantine

I think you can leave the island, but you'll probably asked to self-quarantine at the next destination.

Unless you're going to the airport, in that case, i think you'll need a "health-certificate" to fly.

It's all a bit confusing, so better check with different sources.
