Exactly - it's not just "one or the other".  I can detest Trump for not keeping his campaign promises, and still not take the side of the CCP, who blocked Wuhan-residents from access to the rest of China, while letting them travel to the rest of the world. 

Don't be surprised to see Pompeo for POTUS in 2024.  I am rooting for Kobach, but the way this thing is going, I would not be surprised.

Trump was full of praise for China’s response to the Coronavirus right up

until his own failings to deal with the threat started costing tens of thousands of American lives.

Heard this waffle before when the world was told that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and the US had 'overwhelming evidence' even though the inspectors found nothing. And after the illegal invasion, nothing was found.

The scientific experts have explained that the virus has not been man-made or laboratory modified but that is an inconvenient truth. It doesn't fit in with the re-election plans so better to make up some fake bogeyman story for the masses. Depends who you want to believe really - the expert scientists reporting on evidence or a power crazed old man desperate for attention.

In late November 2019 China reported that a new viral type of pneumonia had been discovered (but knew very little about it).

 

They issued a second warning in late December and on January 11th registered their first death.

 

On January 14 the WHO virologist (an American) issued a warning that a new viral type of pneumonia, which up until that time had killed only a few dozen people in China, had the potential to become a worldwide pandemic if steps were not taken. According to Reuters in Geneva, WHO said there may have been limited human-to-human transmission of a new coronavirus in China within families, and it is possible there could be a wider outbreak.

 

On January 30 the World Health Organisation issued its highest level warning with regard to the virus.

 

Now I fail to see how anybody could have done anything else than what was done at the time, and the reason it has spread and tens of thousands have died, along with world markets dying as well, is because countries like the UK and US did not take the same actions as the likes of Germany.

 

Remember that often as not a virus cannot be identified "overnight" and scaremongering does nothing to help anybody, but the fact that countries took up to 6 to 8 weeks (the US in particular) to act upon what was then becoming fairly clear with regards to a possible pandemic, needs to be taken into consideration, because it's that which has assisted the spread of this virus.

this is all small potatoes.  we have "significant evidence" that proves to a "high degree of confidence" that the virus escaped from the wuhan lab.  all that other stuff is now irrelevant.  they let the virus out, they're responsible.

 

the evidence is what matters.  i for one am eagerly awaiting the presentation at the united nations.  wonder if they'll call back general powell to run the show?  he can shake some wee, tiny vials of powdered corona, maybe draw infection zones on a map with a sharpie.
