Electric Bill

Recommended Posts

Anyone got their electric bill yet ? (MEA)

Mine was supposed to come up on the 7th each month.

It was still zero after one week.

I am sure it is delayed due to the processing for 'returns' and compensations.

But I do expect they still use the metering date on the 7th, otherwise it would then exceed the 600unit limit putting me in the second box for the returns. (50% of the difference with the feb. bill)

You have the numbers

Quote

If a household uses more electricity than what they used in February but does not exceed 800 units, they will pay for the same amount they did in February.

For years I have been.paying my electric bill automatically from my bank account. This is the first month I didn't get bill and didn't need.to pay. But I knew about this. Just to check if I understood the news correctly weeks ago.

It is probably late due to the reprogramming needed, unless you use under 150 units when it is free

So right to catch me on this typo ???? and I do have the numbers having it explained before to another member somewhere.

Eighthunderd is the threshold.

AND I do have the -real- numbers as in the morning I got the bills in my APP.. but they are.. let's say.. weird in a slight manner.

In the morning the bill popped up in the MEApp.

They were delayed, and the net-metering date is unchanged on the 7th of the month. (for me)

Units:

38441.jpg.d312ba5c8f3f38c596bb4a38ed2f625b.jpg

A tat bit lesser than last month, April, which is really a ghost month for I know this month we used a bit more electricity or did the mea (unbelievable as that would be) calculate it with the units that I (unpurposeful) gave back to the net from the panels.

Another story according the offset that my internal meter is showing compared with the meter outside will be reported later after my own investigation has rounded off. ????

And the numbers in baht.

38444.jpg.ee12f7dd5db8782a640d7d61dd988b4d.jpg

A good thing is they used the 'real' february bill which for me was sent out to me on the 7th of march.

Which amounts 1320.20 thb, and so it shows up for this month.

But then...

38443.jpg.8530a7a9c040072f5883969606835717.jpg

Oh...  Perhaps the 3 percent deduction.

Should have that included in the graph, ain't they?

I expected from the 'mea-news' that the so called -too much paid part from month april- would be deducted in the following month.

Then my bill should be 1280.59-485.74 for this month.

Will wait it out till next bill :whistling:

Got a bill today.

Cryptic, no barcodes, QR or anything related to payment.

We get bills like that here are the time. People I have never seen before just show up and present a piece of paper with a written amount and the family pays it. No idea if the bill is 'authentic'.

Any anyone whose April bill was under 750 units, I don't want to know you.

Got our PEA bill yesterday.

Discount of 380 units which is pretty close to what I worked out (367.5 units) although not exact so I'm doing something wrong.

Also 3% discount off the total.

Pretty happy bunny ????

I consumed 1700 Units (How, I have no idea) and was charged for 1100.

So while I still dont know how Im racking up so much usage, Im pretty happy that my bill is what it normally is.

Saved about 2600 baht on this bill and the last one

I would have thought you were MEA?

BTW do we really want 2 threads on the same subject?

Nah, we're far enough out to be PEA.

Two threads? More like 22, I've locked a few but it's a never ending battle, they'll all drop off once everyone has had their corrected bill.

I have a question and perhaps you can clarify. My PAE February bill (meter reading date February 20) was let's say 1000 Baht. The March bill (reading date March 20) was 1500. There was no reduction. The April bill (reading date April 20) was reduced to the February bill of 1000. Will be the bills with reading date May 20 and June 20 reduced or only the one with reading date May 20? Or why did the March bill not get reduced?

PAE? PEA?

Probably you will get 3 bills at the reduced amount.

Probably it’s easier to program current and future rather than retrospective and the reprogramming has only just finished.

PEA - sorry it is still early for me. But I don't understand my situation. I myself had many "perhaps". But it didn't not really clarify this. I can't be the only one with such a billing - I hope.

The press release said 3 Months. It’s now almost certainly they start from this bill.

do these help?

The discount I got yesterday covers (ok, appears to cover) the reductions for March and April consumption. I expect the May reduction to come off the June bill. So that's the three months.

What happens after that is unknown at present.

Everything clear like mud. This below is my situation (from the browser - don't want to install the app). February and April are about the same (reading date April 20 got reduced).

I’ve  gone into the calculator and I don’t think that you are correct.

it is showing that we have overpaid for March and April by its calculations and are being charged the correct amount for May.

You do not need to install the app, you Can get the same information, AIR, formatted in the same way from their website.

the graph you show without numbers is less than clear.

It’s probably your browser and or system. I get the one under and if click one any column get more details 4FFB29B7-99F5-4A14-ACB1-D3A9994A39F6.jpeg.3c8d5dd4c159c5ef5cb530b04aa69bb8.jpeg

You are right - thank you. Here my data with a different browser. But still different than your situation. In April I had 283 units and in February 202 but paid about the same.

Possibly, my calculated numbers don't tie up with the bill, but I can't actually make them tie up either.

Our usages are as follows (units):-

Feb 944

Mar 1026

Apr 1597

May 1704 (actual, before discount applied)

We were discounted 380 units from the May bill (yesterday).

How does your method compare?

I can see where the 380 is coming from..

Your usage is between 800 and 3000 units.

So you're in 'class' 2.2 (check here)

The discount is 50% of the difference between Feb and <month> , for May it would then

(1704-944) / 2 = 380

Your bill for May would be calculated with 1324 units

Take 3% off that and that's your last bill.

????

With MEA the same, I haven't see anything to compensate for March (bills dated April ).

The bill that came last week (for usage April) was the same as the one in March (for usage February)

It looks like your net metering is around the 15th of each month ? ('Due date' mostly 2 weeks after netmetering)

Then your bill would be (if you stay under the 800 units) what you used in the period 15th of January to 15th of February , minus 3%.

And likely will be till the 15th of July.

But as you said, we will see on the next month if they retroactively refund the discount or not.

I would, if I was the owner of MEA/PEA, do that.

You bet that people are now trying to getting the max out of this profit, turning on all appliances knowingly not get billed for that. :whistling:
