Democrats launch probe of Trump's firing of State Department watchdog

Doesn't matter if they have the best military in the world if the POTUS isn't prepared to use it.

Agreed. Too much hatred for the "other" now.

that's rarely been a problem for the usa.  our problem is that few of our leaders have any military experience, and in some cases any experience other than bankrupting casinos or insider trading.

when the country needed them, the guys in charge spent their time partying with multiple deferments.  their only knowledge of the military is watching reruns of "mchale's navy" and "the a-team."

these are the guys that now have to wear flight jackets for photo ops and launch cruise missiles to show their bigly manhood.  these are the guys who think torture works, cause they seen it on the teevee.  these are the guys that back out of nukular disarmament treaties, cause they have secret plans for a "super duper rocket".  (see:  youtube - slim pickens riding the bomb)

and as you opened the door, what military experience did Obama and Bill Clinton have?

where in my post did i restrict my comments to the current leadership?

and why limit "leaders" to commanders-in-chief?

The 'no confidence' reason was followed up with a factual summary of IG Walpin making repeated comments to the press regarding an investigation that was still in progress in what appeared to be an attempt to influence a mayoral election.  http://www.nbcnews.com/id/31325894/ns/us_news-giving/t/obama-fires-americorps-inspector-general/

That's why Congress didn't pursue the matter.  So all Trump has to do is give a valid reason for firing the IG.  After all, what's good for the goose...

no confidence - go it?  they all serve at the pleasure of the president

Funny, I don't recall Trump ever having an "investigate away" attitude when he was the target.

That would be because there has never been a predicate for it. EVER.

So Obama went beyond the "no confidence" excuse, but Trump doesn't have to.  Is that it?

Clearly what's good for the goose isn't good for the pumpkin.

Does anyone know that the deputy IG is still there and takes the responsibility over, including any current investigations?

Instead of the irrational emotional unhinged outrage, calm down and relax.

There was no IG in state department while Hillary Clinton was sec of state. For her ENTIRE term. Convenient for her isn't it? No IG investigation for illegal email and classified information mishandling, and proven destruction of evidence.

I see the usual cabal of tvf leftists have their hair on fire as usual whenever trump makes a legitimate normal legal personnel decision.

As usual, their double standards are applied to one side and ignored by anyone on their "team"

"Does anyone know that the deputy IG is still there and takes the responsibility over, including any current investigations?"

No.  Do you?  Do you think that, maybe, after his/her boss was fired for doing his job, this deputy IG might not feel a little pressure to fall in line?

"There was no IG in state department while Hillary Clinton was sec of state. For her ENTIRE term. Convenient for her isn't it? No IG investigation for illegal email and classified information mishandling, and proven destruction of evidence."

Right, no one ever investigated Hillary Clinton.  Oh, wait.... Maybe just a little.....

Forgive me for saying but that's complete nonsense on many levels. You say 'clearly not' yet millions disagree.

BTW leave Russia out of it - great country, great people and Putin has lifted it out of very dark days back when Yeltsin was in charge. Have you been there? (yes, I have many. many times) and I hate to see them used by Americans as the Bogey Man, reds under the bed nonsense.

Are you claiming that Trump embraces constitutional checks and balances and is ok with Congressional oversight?

Do you think Russia's dictatorship with no real checks on Putin's power is a good thing and appropriate for the US?

Well Pumpkins are for Halloween. Trump has the authority to fire who he likes especially Obama installed folk. As I said Trump was too kind and should have fired them all in 2016. Nothing personal but they are political appointments and bound to turn sour. Anyway electors decide Nov.

So now you are abandoning your post equating Obama's firing with cause for Trump's firing without cause.

Here's one to keep track of: this latest investigation scam the Democrats are engaging in will be yet another dry hole that increases Trump's immunity to silly investigations. I'm almost embarrassed for Schiff, Nadler and the rest of these clowns. They come across as cry bully school kids.
