If the arrested man was struggling violently, assaulting officers and resisting arrest, then that force would be appropriate. However, if they simply piled in, then they are guilty of watching too many American cop shows / films and should face discipline and possible charges. Well, what we don't know what he had been up to before he was arrested, although I have seen a photograph of him adopting a remarkably aggressive posture towards two policeman prior to his arrest. They should abide by the law! A large group assemble in London and refuse to disperse when the police ask them. There are cries of police state! police brutality! etc. Do you honestly think that 3 police officers would pile in and force a person to the ground with no good reason?
