instead of saying 'thais' say 'people', this is not a thai phenomenon, people in countries all over the world let minor issues escalate into far more serious situations. people generally need to recognise when to take a step back and calm down

I saw the unblurred and unedited version yesterday

He appeared fine at the end and then it cut to him dead on the floor

I don't know why it is, but Thais have little to no self-control. I believe that is at least part of the reason that Thailand, alone in the region, forbids gambling as too many people would suffer. As for quickly turning to anger, strange when we are told that Thais hate confrontation and avoid it at all costs, I have written before how being trapped in a rigid class system eventually becomes too much for some. Having to bow down to their supposed betters in every area of Thai society and throughout their life, the slightest thing can set them off and they finally snap. Add the fact that many don't have the reasoning or intelligence to discuss something rationally, and people simply lash out.

Yes, quite strange.

And every time my gf turns on the tv, it is on a soap opera that is about anger, screaming and violence.

It always amazes me that it can be so, in a culture of Wai's, Khap, Kha, and a Phohm added lately.

Yes, but we're in Thailand so we're commenting on the situation in this instance and in this country.
