Why aren't governments advising people to boost their immune systems?

Probably because they know most will ignore them and perhaps because living healthy costs more than many have. Bad food is cheaper than healthy- end of.

....and with a 'novel' virus that they say yet has no reliable treatments .or a vaccine, a strong immune system of which vitamin D plays a crucial role.....need I go on sunshine? Lets all just hide in our basements till the first EVER vaccine for a coronavirus becomes available. Now THAT could be quackery !

Did you read the OP?

"On top of this, governments should be advising people to take Vitamin D, zinc, Vitamin C, and cut down on their sugars."

On ignore for believing vitamin supplements have any worth at all.
