Sanook reported on the lastest developments in the case of two men who robbed an official of an agricultural cooperative who had just withdrawn 1,050,000 from a branch of the Bangkok Bank in Chiang Saen earlier in the week.

Pillion passenger Sitthichoke initially denied involvement but police pressure led to an admission yesterday.

It was discovered that Sitthichoke had brandished a 9mm gun at Ms. Wacharin, 46, before he and an accomplice raced off on a motorcycle.

Sitthichoke formerly worked for the cooperative and knew about their withdrawals.

He had been sacked for malfeasance a month ago and it was further discovered that he owed the cooperative 1 million baht in a loan.

He was also a gambler who often went across the border to gamble.

On his arrest he only had 200,000 baht left. Police are looking into where the missing money went and continuing the search for the accomplice.

Sitthichoke was taken on a reenactment of the crime.

This case is easy. It´s a foreigner involved too. He is now applying for a retirement extension at his local immigration office.

In 3 Months! It's got to season.

What a fine upstanding fellow... perhaps he was paying off some gambling debts.
