Visa stamp date. Does the passport owner have to be presented?

Recommended Posts

My husband's Thai wife non-o is due for the renewal stamp (the interview and paper works were done 30 days ago). He can't make it to Chaeng Wattana this time.  Can I just take his passport for the stamp (since there's nothing that requires him to be presented for the stamp renewal)? From my past experience officers never seem to look who's holding the passport. Just making sure it's doable. Thanks

I cannot say for sure, but would bring your marriage-certificate to make the attempt.   Also, if he used the "money in the bank" method, you will need to update his bank-book to show the 400K is still there, and bring this as well.

It's just that I am due to  do mine at the beginning of August and with the  amnesty finishing at the end of July it's likely to be pandemonium at Jomtien?

Why do you think it will pandemonium at immigration. Most people that are under the amnesty will be leaving the country for a new entry or going home.

You could also do it before the 31st. You can do it up to 30 days early.
