Director of communicable diseases, Dr Sopon Iamsirithaworn, said on Friday (May 22) that the two newest Covid-19 cases reported two days ago may not have transmitted the virus to others because they observed prevention guidelines and wore face masks while in public places.

Tears and heartbreak as flight ban keeps farang-Thai families apart

The ban on international flights is stopping Michael O’Halloran from returning to his three daughters and wife in Chonburi. O’Halloran is stranded in Ireland. 

 

Foreign nationals married to Thai citizens who are stranded overseas due to the ban on incoming flights are pleading with the government to let them return so they can be with their families. Some have even contacted Nation Thailand to ask for help.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain will introduce a COVID-19 quarantine for travellers arriving from abroad from June 8, interior minister Priti Patel said on Friday, a measure that airlines have warned will devastate their industry.

Export sector still slightly in negative territory
