Affidavit from embassy to meet financial requirements

Recommended Posts

Good morning,

I searched the forum if there is any recent news in regards of using an Embassy affidavit but could not find anything.

Is here anybody who recently used an affidavit in order to renew the visa?

Is this only for pension income or for other source of income as well?

Is immigration even looking and considering it?

If yes, which other papers have to be provided?

My embassy still issues those income letters.

Regards,

Immigration will still accept a affidavit done at your embassy to prove your income.

They can ask for back up proof of it and/or the source of your income.

Will still accept:

just as another paper on top of all other papers or will this be enough to get the non-immigrant O-A extended.

Most offices prefer the affidavit over having to through transfers of 65k baht a month. Some will not accept anything but the affidavit if you are from a country that can get one.

Don't forget you will need proof you have insurance.

thanks a lot.

Yes, I have a Thai insurance, purchased in December last year.

This is probably the next problem as it is for 1 year. December 19-December 2020

If in June, applying for new visa, they could argue that there is only 6 months left on insurance.

You may have to buy another 6 months of insurance or only get a 6 month extension.
