rooster59 Posted May 23, 2020 Share Posted May 23, 2020 Pattaya: Car bursts into flames after hitting lamppost - policeman was behind the wheel Image: Siam Chon News A policeman was saved from death by two members of the public after he drove his Ford Escape into a lamppost on Sukhumvit Road in central Pattaya at 2 am this morning. Chartchai, 52, grabbed a fire extinguisher to put out flames and was aided by Jarinan, 26, in dragging out the driver before the flames took hold again. The driver was taken to hospital with a head wound covered in blood, reported Siam Chon News who said that he was a Chonburi drugs' suppression officer. Chartchai said that the policeman had been driving at high speed. Pattaya police are investigating.
