rooster59
Boxing scheduled to return to the ring in June By The Nation The Sports Authority of Thailand is hoping the boxing industry would return to action soon, in a closed venue initially, and get back to normalcy in three phases. The Muay Thai Association and the Sports Authority of Thailand held a meeting on Saturday for more than three hours to review the Covid-19 situation in Thailand, which is getting better. According to the plan by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), the boxing industry is scheduled to restart fights from June 15 in a closed area. The committee has no objections if the boxing industry allows competitions within June 15, according to the master plan of the CCSA. The return to normal is divided into three phases: closed boxing area in the first phase; restricted viewers in the second phase, and normal operations in the third phase. The first phase must follow five precautions at all times: wearing of masks, washing hands frequently, distance of1-2 metres between people, regularly clean the place, and restrict people in the area. Popular Post skorp13
This just keeps getting better and better, i mean you can't make this stuff up folks...LOL People can beat the snot out of each other but ban't have a drink together. I can't use the treadmill or the leg press machine at my gym but i can train in Muay Thai. I can go to the fights and have a sprite but i can't go out and have a cold beer or glass of wine with my evening meal. Genius, sheer and utter genius!! 4

EricTh
Are all these boxing, Muay Thai , cock fights, cinemas really necessary? I would think inter-provincial travel is more important than boxing. Opening up inter-provincial travel and international travel is more important. phkauf
I guess the Army Generals are feeling a pinch in the wallet since boxing has been shut down. But since the bars are mostly under police "protection" I'm sure they will remain closed. Amazing Thailand. or is the new slogan Amazing Trusted Thailand? perhaps it should be Amazing Corrupt Thailand or Amazing Moronic Thailand.
