If you knew what women think of aging men, you might change your opinion. Most do not take care of themselves, now or if at all, and if you grow old with a woman, she's just as pretty then as she was before, IF her heart hasn't turned black with bitterness, maybe from the man. If you treat a woman right, and she started off as a nice one, you can't blame her for turning bitter if she lived with you all those years. Men here are luckier than in the US, because a lot of beautiful Thai women will go with an aging, bald, grey man as long as he has money. True, that happens everywhere, but more here than in America by far. Some are attracted to their husbands also, and thats always a plus, because buying things gets old for anyone, and if there's no physical attraction, the woman will be bored eventually. Yes, but for how long? Will you still love her once her great looks are gone, she refuses to do the things sexually that turn you on, and focuses 80% of her time on children rather than you, when she becomes short-tempered and unpleasant to listen to? Because this is what happens with women, inevitably. They lose their looks, and as they get older they no longer try to please their man in the ways she used to try. It becomes more about her, as women get older, same with men of course. And yes, indeed love does not last, you can still have affection and appreciation for a woman after 20 years, but that unconditional and passionate love will be long gone by then, as you realise she is no longer as attractive, much less pleasant to be with and focused on children now anyway. Buying things, btw, never gets old for women. Over 20 years I never saw this woman be unhappy when you buy her something.

Well, shes already short tempered, has her times when I just leave her alone, isn't really "motherly" but does what she has to, the sex has always been great and I'm sure will continue as long as I'm able, and if it goes less a bit, that's ok. Buying things is a quick fix, but if there's depression, it always gets old. I meant that comment that money isn't all that keeps a woman interested.

Hair is the same as when I was 18, just a bit faded at the sides, more wrinkles on my face. If I were a woman I'd prefer me at 65 than me at 35. I'm not convinced women ever really care about anyone except themselves, not their parents, not their lover, not their children. It's us men that seem to do all the caring (and paying). That's you, and I am also the exception, bodybuilding from age 17 until now. I looked like Rambo at 50,without the steroid use, and although there isn't a proper gym here that I can do my weights at, I still use what I have here and am still looking body wise like a 35 yr old fit man. But the joints hurt from too much weight training over those years.

allanos
Happiest times of my life? Hard to pin down, because I've had so many. Probably the best was my youthful abandon, living in Zambia for 3 years aged 22-25. My own company apartment, a sports car, pretty girlfriends, a wonderful job and great, positive income stream. Let me not forget the fantastic weather all year round, and the scenic beauty of the Zambezi River, and the Victoria Falls, just 5 kilometres from where I stayed in Livingstone. To add to my joy, frequent visits to Chobe Game Reserve in Botswana, a short drive away, herds of elephant like you've never seen, or a drive across the Falls to the "Rhodesian" (now Zimbabwe) town of Victoria Falls, the Hotel and the casino. My life was idyllic, a Paradise, never to be forgotten.

Silencer
First, Barcelona 1973-77. Teenager, but lived a life like an adult thanks to a very liberal mother. An American fish out of water. (Euro and Spanish girls, drinking, some drugs, endless parties, travel throughout Europe, and yeah, even school was ok). Geez, the stories from that time.... Then, Thailand. 15 years of visits and now one year living here. However, recently thinking it might be time to find the next, and likely last, "best time" adventure.

Had a fantastic four years in Sussex from the mid-60s onwards, where I had an apprenticeship and I was learning lots of new things and new skills, as well as having a bunch of good friends and exploring the pubs. At around the same time I was selected to play football for my home team in the Isthmian league, and that was my dream, and I did play against Crystal Palace and Wimbledon and a few other classy senior amateur teams, and in addition I was selected for a Sussex representative side. They were the best few years of my life until........... I moved to New Zealand in 1984 and started as Director of Sales and Establishment Marketing for American Express, and that was just a dream job – – lots of travel, entertaining at top class restaurants, overseas sales conferences in Hawaii, Singapore, Hamilton Island, New Caledonia and Manila and I even managed to take the helm of the NZ Americas Cup Challenger, offshore Auckland. Two periods of approximately five years each and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of them.

flinc2020
Berlin 1984 - 86 whilst the wall was still up. A great city in the west side and really great nights out in the east of the city thanks to a currency scam we hjad running that gave us an unholy exchange rate. In the west it was all incredible night life (many are the times I went out as the sun set and came home as it rose next day.) Work occassionally got in the way but other than that it was great. Got to see a few celebrities whilst I was there too. Sa Quenn perform live at the amphitheatre and even got to see Rudolph Hess a couple of times. Pilotman
Moray area in Scotland in the mid 80s. Fantastic place, work was great, location perfect and the best whiskey shop in Scotland just down the road in Elgin. Tom89
The best / most interesting part of my life was Ulan Bator Mongolia around 1993. It was absolutely wild. An English guy I was lucky enough to meet on the flight there from Beijing said it was like Oklahoma circa 1880. I thought it was an accurate description. Probably the wildest 10 days of my life.
khunPer
I had several "best time in my life", different times, different eras, which cannot be remade or redone, as times has changed. To mention the important "best times of my life"... As kid when in summer holiday travelling with a small circus The happy hippie era as rock musician, and not to forget all the chicks that comes with such kind of profession...???? My time in flight operation – including route checks and stops – in a major airline of that time My time in the professional audio and music business And not to forget amazing Land-of-Smiles, which even at some pints is just like a time machine, jumping back to the impossible: like reliving some of the good old time...????????
JWRC
I was born in the UK, moved to Australia and later Thailand. I have had approx 1/3 of my life in each place, But during that time I went to Scotland for a short holiday and stayed 11 months, It's the only place I have ever been to where I felt like I had come home, forget the freezing cold weather, the people are just the best, the stunning scenery is magnificent and the quaint customs bring a smile to anyone's face. Just talking about it floods me with happiness.
Gillyflower
London!! Just shipped in from Sydney, which I had thought at the time was a great swinging place. Learnt my error when I hit London. It was really opening up - the Shrimp, Radio Caroline, Quant with skirts up to your bottom..........mine from Oz almost to the ankles. Was I the country cousin come to town!! I was very young but did I lap it up in London. Before that I was on a copra/cocoa plantation on an island in the Pacific. Everything happened in London, The Russian Yuri Gagarin visited and I was 2 feet away and all sorts of famous people. (Never saw them in Oz or on the plantation. The music was the best in the world too. And all those plays with wellknown Brit actors. And everywhere you walked.......if you went to Selfridges, you were quite close to Holmes. I went to Paris after, nowhere near as exciting. I look back with such nostalgie. I'm starting to let a couple of tears drop, so have to stop.
