Sad and terrible reminder how fierce these storms can be.

Seek shelter ASAP. et away from trees and poles even in the car.

Stop car on open terrain and wait for the worst to pass.

Yeah, it seems a bit weird to concentrate on a dog in such circumstances, but It's heartbreaking to see. She'd be his Mum, if my own SO's relationship with her pet dogs is anything to go by. It just Ilustrates her Irreplaceablity. Hope the guy recovers. Hope the dog gets taken care of. Hope they can resume some semblance of family life after this horrific tragedy.

Very sad and it jogged my memory of this famous Japanese dog HACHIKO:-

Hachikō was born on November 10, 1923, at a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture.[3] In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor at the Tokyo Imperial University, brought him to live in Shibuya, Tokyo, as his pet. Hachikō would meet Ueno at Shibuya Station every day after his commute home. This continued until May 21, 1925, when Ueno died of a cerebral hemorrhage while at work. From then until his death on March 8, 1935, Hachikō would return to Shibuya Station every day to await Ueno's return.
