Thailand J
Extension of stay with 800k in fixed deposit based on retirement at JOmtein yesterday, did not need 12 months bank transaction history. Just sharing my experience. 100B for a bank letter, updated bank book on a BBL machine, as I did before. 1
Popular Post pmarlin
I'm on my 11th retirement extension now and all of them using the income method. 10 of those I used the embassy income letter but the last one had to prove transfers from outside Thailand for 12 months and it was a hassle getting it all together plus the IO didn't seem too happy approving it using that method. So now doing something that I many times said that I wouldn't do which is I now put 800,000 baht in my bank account and will leave it there as long I am in Thailand. Next extension will only need to get the simple bank letter from the bank, bank book copies and make it easy on the IO.
