Is it a race?

As the US has passed this milestone im sure trump has commented about the sad loss of life and begged people to comply with his admins advice to social distance and wear masks and how if we all follow the experts advice we will all get through it.

Surely thoughts and prayers would suffice?

An apology from trump for his misinformation & errors of judgement concerning Covid would be good

The number does seem very low, especially when you consider that in America, in any 5 month period in years gone by, the average number of deaths would be around one and a quarter million. Obviously dying has gone out of fashion, in a world that now expects everyone to live forever.

Maybe I wasn't clear. It was 65k beyond "run of the mill" death level from previous year and reported covid-19 deaths subtracted.

Would be difficult to tease out as so many traffic deaths here reduced due to lockdown & Thai practice of not counting as traffic deaths those who die in hospital, contrary to world standards
