PHUKET: A six-wheeled truck carrying steel-reinforcement rods and wire mesh for construction slammed into the concrete barrier in front of Wat Patong, at the bottom of Patong Hill, and overturned this morning (May 28).

The driver, Surachai Choosin, escaped serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which Mr Surachai attributed to brake failure while descending the steep hill into Patong.

Actually I can see the logic in this - I think it must be in the language ...

When I want to drive faster .. I press the accelerator pedal .. if I not go faster then the accelerator pedal is faulty - When I want to stop .... I press the brake pedal .. if I not stop .. the brake pedal must be faulty.  Its that simple!

I have seen the light !!

Good quality barrier!

If you live close to a road in Thailand better have tank traps

Innocent motorists have lost their lives after being squashed against that barrier by heavy vehicles with brake failure.

And what would have happened without the barrier?
