rooster59 Posted May 30, 2020 Share Posted May 30, 2020 Thundershowers and flash floods forecast for many parts of Thailand By THE NATION The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Saturday (May 29) that the monsoon trough continues across the upper portions of North and Northeast while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Heavy rains are forecast in some parts of the Northeast, the East, Central and the South regions while gusty winds are forecast for the North. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows: Northern region: Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas with gusty winds and isolated heavy rains in some areas; temperature lows of 23-26 degrees and highs of 35-39 degrees Celsius. Northeastern region: Thundershowers in 70 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 22-26 degrees and highs of 31-36 degrees Celsius. Central region: Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 25-26 degrees, highs of 36-38 degrees Celsius. Eastern region: Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 32-36 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers. Southern region (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 33-36 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers. Southern region (west coast): Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 30-33 degrees Celsius; waves 1-2 metres high and two metres during thundershowers. Bangkok and surrounding areas: Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 35-37 degrees Celsius.
