Suggestions for saucepans

Recommended Posts

I have never found or bought any decent saucepans here, does anyone have any recommendations.

i find the bases and metal too thin, I often find when cooking western food it will burn on the bottom due to the aggressive gas flame.

This doesn’t mean I want to buy expensive pans, I found some small tefal frying pans that suit me fine at around 600B, does anyone have any suggestions?

Seagull and Zebra brands are quite good quality and hard wearing , both Thai brands , so reasonably priced ie. no excessive import duties imposed.

I have been using the same ones for over 10 years with no problems.

Thanks, Yes, I’m not looking for frying pans, I’m after saucepans.

i had a set in the UK, heavy, copper bottomed, stainless, I think I won them in a competition, perfect, but I have never been able to get close with any Thai brand, they don’t seem to conduct heat evenly, it may be the cooker as you say. We have a zebra shop in town, I will go and check, but I’m not a fan of the double handle pots.

I bought a new oven the other month, and retired my old countertop oven, and it occurred that spending a little and getting something with a little quality goes a long way, the food is good and the process enjoyable and a lot quicker.
