JaiMaai
How would say something with this meaning in Thai? I mean asking someone if they have something surplus and don't need that they could "spare"?
tgeezer
A person can't give you what they need themselves so if you wanted a pen, you simply use the verb ขอ : Please-give -me and add the object ขอปากาาครับ I think that maybe มีปากกาเหลือที่ให้ผมได้ไหม says it all. เหลือ meaning กว่าที่ต้องการ. So ปากกาเหลือ means 'surplus pen' or 'extra pen' so: Have a surplus pen which I can receive or not.
JaiMaai
Thanks. I knew the word "เหลือ" already in the sense of left over or remaining but I wasn't sure if it would work in this context.
