PHUKET: All venues registered under the Hotel Act are allowed to reopen from today (June 1), according to the full order of reopenings issued late last night.

The Phuket Provincial Health Office (PPHO), which also serves as the Phuket Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Incident Command Centre, late last night published the full 37-page provincial order listing all business, services and activities allowed to open and resume operations from today (June 1).

Buried on page 34 of the order is the listing of all places registered under the Hotels Act as permitted to reopen from today.

"Like lemmings", have you chosen the right word chap....?  ????

Yeh why, to be a lemming is to follow others blindly

A lemming is somebody who does whatever the crowd does. Lemmings follow the prevailing wisdom without really questioning that wisdom.

Is the Phuket Airport still closed?

How can domestic travelers stay in Phuket at hotels if the airport is still closed?

How can I get from Nongkhai to Phuket other than a 24 hour bus or car ride.

Nope, not by bus either. Phuket inter-province bus service has been suspended until at least June 30.

Probably won't be enough inbound domestic tourists to fill a single guesthouse in June.
