webfact
Giant freshwater prawns to go on sale at four PTT gas stations By THE NATION The Department of Fisheries has teamed up with PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited to sell giant freshwater prawns at four gas stations in Bangkok as a way to help fish farmers in this Covid-19 situation. Department director-general Mesak Pakdeekong said the prawns would be sold this and next Sunday (June 7 and 14) from 9am at PTT’s gas stations at the 1st Infantry Battalion, Prachauthit-Lad Prao, Tepparak and Taling Chan. The prawns are from Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi provinces. The male prawns will be sold at Bt280 to Bt350 per kilogram, depending on their size, while female ones will go for Bt180 to Bt230. Local farmers will also sell products at the stations, such as dried snakehead and processed catfish, Mesak added.
