webfact Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Senate approves Bt1.9tn stimulus package By THE NATION The Senate today (June 2) endorsed the three emergency decrees for an economic stimulus package worth Bt1.9 trillion after two days of vetting. The first decree empowers the Finance Ministry to borrow Bt1.1 trillion to revive the economy after the toll taken on business by the Covid-19 pandemic. The second decree will trigger soft loans of Bt500 billion for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) hit by the outbreak. Spending under the third decree is aimed at stabilising the country's financial system and economic security.
