Could sell well as big engine trumpets have good status in Thailand.
Phuketshrew
The last Triumph twin I had was a 1953 Speedtwin (known as the bathtub!). Last Triumph I owned was a 1976 Trident (US Spec) - That was a beauty and sounded awesome.
eisfeld
There is no real info for the new low cc Triumphs. The pictures are an artists impression of what the bike could look like. All the specs and especially prices mentioned are dreamed up. Triumph just recently signed the deal with Bajaj to develop bikes, no way can they have something so ready at this point in time. BKKBike09
It's an embarrassment and should be nipped in the bud (former Speed Triple owner 1997-2001).

Whatever eventually appears with the single cylinder engine ( scheduled for 2022 ) , there will be three variants with the same basic engine. A retro , a sports and some kind of off road bike. The bike shown in the video is the suggested retro version which is supposed to be like a baby Bonneville. If you listen to the video more details are given. An article in English about the bike : https://www.rushlane.com/bajaj-triumph-200-cc-motorcycle-digital-render-12363456.html As stated in post one the appearance is not settled : Our in-house design specialist Pratyush Rout has come up with a speculative rendering of the most affordable Triumph. He has envisioned it as an entry-level roadster with Bonneville hereditary. Edited June 6, 2020 by Denim
Popular Post Justgrazing
Badge engineered Balaj .. But it makes sense to get a foothold in the massive Indian motorcycle market .. Since their rebirth Triumph have made bigger capacity hi end machines not easily affordable to the masses but the brand of Triumph is iconic so doing this allows access to the badge for those not loaded with the dollars for a big Triumph .. Don't expect it to go down well with the purists though .. Original 1960's 200 Cub Triumph ..

Don't expect it to go down well with the purists though .. Original 1960's 200 Cub Triumph .. I owned 3 mid range Triumphs . An ex police T100 Triumph Trophy 500cc ( I think that's what it was . Single carb ) A T100D Triumph Daytona 500cc ( one of last 50 made with disc brake and Bonnie forks ) A T90 350 cc ( bit of a rat bike but looked nice anyway ) Clearly, a glutton for punishment. All mechanically OK but all had electrical problems. In the end I thought more riding and less pushing would be a good idea and switched to Hondas 1

Yes....electronic ignition and a non ' tickle ' Mikuni carb would be a vast improvement. Never liked the idea of having to manually pump the carb and get petrol all over it. Over a ton was another problem though because although you got there quicker you often had to waste 5 minutes tightening up everything that had shaken loose..

Considering that it develops 221N/m of torque, more than any other road bike ever produced, you would probably need brown trousers of some description if you rode it.

Brown trousers or waders and brown jacket to match. An easy 75 mph is fast enough for me. Prefer a smaller bike on smaller roads with lots of bends and good acceleration and braking.

I thought these were super little bikes in my time and nearly bought one, but a friend had one and for some reason had to keep changing the big ends on it?? I did eventually own a Triumph 350 cc twin, which sounded like a bunch of spanners in a metal bucket and leaked oil constantly, then I had a Triumph 500 cc Speed twin, but was puzzled as to why they called it a Speed twin, when the one I had was pretty lethargic! The easiest to maintain, smoothest and most lovely sounding ride I had (two of them actually) were powered by the Villiers 2T two-stroke engine – – a great little engine, both of them fitted in Ambassadors which were popular at the time in the 60s. Of course if you really wanted to be noted in those days, you had a Triumph Bonneville or a Triumph 500 cc single, which was a real beast to start. Nowadays it's my little Honda Click, backed up by a Suzuki Swift, but I got a little bit nostalgic a few weeks ago when a friend of mine here showed me his new Triumph bike........
