superal
Most provinces allow drink to be bought but not consumed on the premises of a bar or restaurant . Is that the case in Pattaya when staying in a hotel i.e. can your hotel sell you a beer and let you drink it on their outside tables . Because if the answer is no , where can you drink it ? ianezy0
As far as I am aware, you can buy at 7-11, Family Mart and supermarkets to drink at home. No outside socialising.

Inside where you are staying. There are some outside seating places selling soft drinks. So, if a person is desperate to drink outside, maybe buy a flask fill it with Sangsom and either guzzle it in the toilet, or wait till the staff is not looking and pour it in your Coke.

Rigsby
This YouTube video shows folks drinking outside in Jomtien market and the subtitles say it's the first time for drinking outside. If you look 40secs into the video, the beer is in covered plastic glasses so I would say it's still illegal.

luckyluke
Oldie, I think you give me wrongly a "Like". My beer was served in a Smoothies cup, on the premises, to hide it was beer.

For instance many bars serve alcohol in such cups or even in small coffee cups on alcohol free days like election days or on Buddha holidays. I liked your honesty. ???? Popular Post JusticeGB
The police raided my condo block on Tuesday and even restaurants serving beer in coffee mugs got fined 100,000 baht each. I guess if one is living in a condo, you cannot take a cold box with a few beers in it, to sit by the pool, nor buy one beer from the small restaurant or shop that services the area? A rule of drinks only with food, and limited size groups would serve better. A 100,000 baht fine on a small business is effectively to put them out of business.
Popular Post domdom
Hello I would like to understand the aim of this stupid measure.. You can drink at home and you can buy from a restaurant BUT only to take away.. So you can drink 2 wine bottles, take your car, eat in your favorite restaurant drinking water and go on drinking when back home What does it have to do with quarantine or virus ??? Lots of people say they don t go to restaurant if forbidden to have even a glass of wine.. Have a nice day.. 3

Under the decree serving alcohol anywhere is forbidden nationwide due to the social gatherings ban. That's why you can buy alcohol and drink at home. Yes I know about the emergency decree.. still if you are allowed to go to restaurants respecting the social distancing measures but also having a meal with your partner or people living with you, I don t see any reason to forbid you to have a glass of wine with your meal.. Deli
Find a place that sells booze in a coffee mug or similar or mix your own, as suggested above. At the pool booze is not allowed anyhow, in my Condo Complex. So it's a brown bag or Dunking Donuts cup. On the other side, one of the restaurants openly sells the beer in tinted glasses.... Restaurants get used like bars here, a lot. If they cannot open the bars, they need to prevent restaurants acting as a replacement.
