Breaking his long silence about speculation that he might be elected the new leader of the ruling Palang Pracharat party, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan told the Thai media today that he is not ready to take the job.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that he is not involved in politics within the Palang Pracharat party, which he insisted is a matter for party members.

Asked about the support of several committee members for him to become the new party leader, he said “It has not happened yet. You should not ask. Everything depensd on party members.”

Ah, so people should only ask when they already know the answer.

Aren't you their chief strategist? You really are a ridiculous human being.

Please don't insult human beings, ridiculous or otherwise.

Caesar refuses the crown as a public show of humbleness and not

to appear too ambitious. During Caesar's time, Romans distrusted people with absolute power.

Caesar refused the the crown three times.

How many more offers before you'll accept it, then Prawit?

This had to be the juntas dirty little full control plan all along. PPP and Uttmama just got duped and now has no choice with as it looks like were given a back door ultimatum of you will do or you will not like the what will happen.

All this talk about political parties is only window dressing, remember, power comes from the barrel of a gun and who do you think has his finger on the trigger.

However, he is qualified to lead the Chiang Rai province boy scout group. Better there, than leading the nation, on any level. The fact that he is deputy PM boggles the mind.

I live in Chiang Rai.  I don’t want him anywhere near here

Ask him again after the nap. This country is doomed with its dinosaurs - just waiting for Chavalit Yongchaiyuth to "offer" his services to the government.

Politicians and pampers should be changed very regularly - for the same reason!

This disgusting man have no qualms about lying his whole life. He crave for power and has inexhaustible appetite. To believe him is to believe Prayut's 'promise' that he will not stage a coup.
