Leonardo DiCaprio pledges to 'end the disenfranchisement of Black America'

What do you mean 'we', I've always enjoyed watching news of cities burning ..... especially when they're a long way away.

Frankly, I am a bit of an anarchy fan too. Especially when it is being done within a society that is as denigrated, disenfranchised, and in the level of decline and denial America currently is. Sometimes, something drastic has to happen to wake a nation up.

I give kudos to Leo for taking a stand on this. It is a lot more than alot of famous people are doing. It shows moral conviction, and courage. If Trump really cared, and wanted to make a real statement he would do the same thing. It could have quite an impact. However the moral courage quality is missing there. And he never gives away any of his money, so that is not really an option.

Perhaps Leo should apologise for acting the part of a slave owner in a movie not so long ago then. Not a good and kind slave owner either- a really bad one.

Perhaps you should have read about how the black actors told him it was necessary.

That's probably done by a small number of people.

The cops are also going around beating just about everyone.

Good, hit them harder and for longer.

Anarchy has no place in society

You brought up the elephant in the room. The native Americans have had it far worse than blacks, but no protests for them. Probably because if one acknowledges their existence one has to accept that one is living on land stolen from a people that were almost exterminated by the settlers, and continue to live in appalling conditions.

It should be compulsory in every American school to read Bury my heart in Wounded Knee.

What about all the other immigrants to America?

Koreans, Indians and all others from around the world. Never hear any protests or faux outrage groups being created

It's always the Blacks whinging about everything and expecting a free pay cheque from the govt.

The major sport's stars often are catalysts too, Le Bron James should be in jail for inciting violence

Still playing the slave card from 400 years ago. Man up, work hard and get a job like all the other immigrants in the US

He backs the Black community and has a LOT of supporters

They just don't show it on CNN

Black unemployment was at it's lowest levels ever before Chinese flu hit the US

There were jobs galore

The anarchy is from left wing fascists who start all the aggro and then let the blacks take over for the cameras and play their part as useful idiots

There is a great video on Instagram where a black guy breaks down the destruction of a cop car. White bourgeoisie scumbags start it and let the mob take over

I think the native American Indians could use the help while you're at it .

I'm glad I'm not in the UK now.

Too much conformity to keep up with. Now you have to kneel outside your house whilst clapping at the same time  keeping 2 meters away from everyone and practice incest when you go indoors. Hard to keep track of it all.

Sounds like you have a persecution complex.

Actually no one in the UK HAS TO clap outside their house and I don't know where you get the incest idea. No one has to kneel either.

But people would appreciate it if you could wear a mask on public transpart and try to keep your distance from strangers as the virus is still out there. When you have a friend or relative who has either died or is still suffering from the extreme effects of this virus, you appreciate these practical measures without feeling persecuted.

Blimey I don't know what to think. Leo is determined to end this disenfranchisement. The state of being denied a right or privilege, for example, the right to vote.

Forgive me, I'm a Brit. But don't black people have the right to vote in the US? If they do, how can they be disenfranchised? 15th Amendment, I believe.....

As for so called celebs, if they spend too much time out of the public eye, they always come up with something the papers think will sell. Whilst everyone has the right to an opinion, no one has the right to force it on others.

As for the comments about the UK, no one is forcing you to clap or bend a knee, and for sure no one is forcing you to commit incest.
