So excluding ethnic Asian or Caucasians or Latinos is now OK is it? I am appalled by what is effectively black supremacy that is going on, recently more than ever. And somebody please tell me that only considering a black person for a job is illegal discrimination against other races? Unfortunately this "positive discrimination" is applauded by the left. They see no wrong in positive discrimination providing it's blacks that benefit. Not Asians, Caucasians, or Latinos. Of course, many black people are indoctrinated to believe they are entitled. Because - slavery, prejudice, racism, etc etc. No one, absolutely no one, is born a racist or bigot. There are no racist and bigot genes. People learn to be racist and bigots are what they are taught. Usually learning from the failed attempts at social engineering so favored by the left. The left who can't understand any tinkering with nation usually unbalances rather than helps. This act, would in many countries by against the laws on equality. But as we read regularly, laws these days are enforced selectively based on political agendas and preference. 1 1

I applaud Ohanian as he has recognised that Reddit's board is yet another white-man's exclusive club. With a nasty racist (among other -ists) as the current president it is incumbent on decent people to take a stand & now is as good a time as any. Yes, sure. Just like the country you support with your avatar. Bastion of equality and free speech! Positive discrimination is a man invented way to discriminate. Just like class systems and bigotry. 1
EVENKEEL
You know blacks should feel a lot of shame at the moment, for a long time really. Because apparently they're not smart enough to play on a level playing field. They need special help in all fields of life. Everything from college to employment, a person should be picked on merit alone, not the color of your skin. If you're not getting disgusted with all this "Black Privilege" then you're part of the problem. Edited June 7, 2020 by EVENKEEL 2

If you're not getting disgusted with all this "Black Privilege" then you're part of the problem. I don't agree with many things on these types of topic, however I do agree with this post of yours. There are many black folk in this world who have taken the opportunity to educate themselves, get funds for this from working extra hours in menial jobs, taking two or three jobs at the time and so on – – much the same as my parents had to do. And with that knowledge they have progressed, but on the other hand, it would seem that a great majority of black people are quite content not to want to work, and live in poverty, relying on handouts, selling drugs or indulging in thievery. The opportunities are there, but it takes hard work and perseverance to start to climb that ladder and it doesn't appear to be in the nature of a lot of black folks to do this. That is why there is a dearth of black talent past a certain level in industry and commerce, and if as an employer you are looking to employ the person who is best suited/best trained/most intelligent person for the job, then you don't pick on colour you pick on these attributes. There is a wonderful clip about this and the fact that black folks need to take a good hard look at themselves before blaming anybody else and this from a person of their own colour, and a pastor to boot. But not sure if I can post it here.... Edited June 7, 2020 by xylophone

Back in the mid nineties, a black girl had a fight at an office and was being transferred to ours as they dare not sack her...I never forget my bosses glee...he said not only is she a woman but she's black so great for my targets... Exactly. About 25 years ago, I worked for at a Police HQ, doing IT. About that time, police wanted to recruit non-white officers, which meant many suitable white candidates were automatically excluded in favour of non-white. Around the same time, I was the experienced IT person, training up newbies for the job. I remember a black guy and a Indian I believe joined up about the same time. These 2 were the only non-whites in the IT dept of about 15-20 people. The black guy had "attitude". He would karate-kick the office chairs around etc, manager just let him get on with it. The guy seemed fairly popular, strangely. Anyway, our section was responsible for unboxing and setting up new PC's & printers etc. Wasn't long before kit went missing... Apparently, fingers were pointed at me (I'd worked there already for about 5 years), as it would be racist to pick on him. Well, eventually he was spotted by a camera stealing stuff. From the Police <deleted>!! He got the sack - but what a waste of a good opportunity he was given. The Indian guy, nice chap, was made up to manager fairly quickly. Think he was a little out of his depth, but he got sacked for embezzlement, I believe. A few years later, he spotted me when shopping at ASDA - he was working there, probably on just over minimum wage.
