Many of their customers are close to begging the government to let them reopen too. With no local transmissions in a couple of weeks now, there is essentially no one out there right now for people to

This government aint interested in farang bars or entertainment

Or the Thai's that work in that industry.

I don't know what is a ''bogan''but for the big beer bellies most of the working girls think they are better for them, more confortable, more generous with money  and less enduring for the sex sessions than the fit ones

3NUMBAS is obviously Australian. A Bogan is Australian slang for an unsophisticated person. Maybe equivalents are lout, trailer trash, yobbo, Pattaya regular.(sorry last one just slipped out)

Still amazed that the Thai government has not made the obvious connection: "Farangs are valuable to the economy". This simple fact has been ignored in every single decision they've made in the last two years.

The parable of the "Goose that Laid the Golden Egg" was never more in evidence.

How small is the contribution of farangs in all bars of Thailand?

Even in Pattaya it may not be so big.

The fleabags around Soi Buakhao you're familiar with, mainstays of beer bar mongers, now bring in only a small percentage of total revenue among hotels in Pattaya. If you'd ever visited the lobbies of the better hotels during high season (for research purposes), then you'd know about their clientele.

Yes, I did for research purposes and I saw bigstar types that turn their noses up at clientele that are not befitting of their deluded impression of themselves. These bigstar types are the ones sitting in Soi Buakhoa bars, that buy one beer and sit on it all day. Or worse still,  talk in a cockney accent and say 'I'll ave arf'

I've noticed that people like you who ridicule others do it to make themselves feel better about themselves, it's a kind of coping mechanism. They pay sex workers, hate that they do it and convince themselves they are better than the others

Hmmmm Maybe !! But why do they hate themselves for paying sex workers? Doesn't make sense to me. It's just another purchase (like buying bread, food, beer). If it invokes such strong self hatred, then the solution is simple. Use you own hand, don't suffer guilt and save baht, and grow hair on the palm.

Why so, they make up an ever shrinking percentage of tourists , and frequently appearing in the news for the wrong reasons.

The Thai Government has made the connection, farangs are not a large part of tourism or expats and it deceasing. Its only farang expats/tourists that over estimate the numbers and contribution to the economy.

They dont add up to much, there are more tourists from Vietnam nowadays than UK and US combined, Australia doesnt even register on the graphs nowadays.
