rooster59 Posted June 7, 2020 Share Posted June 7, 2020 Thailand’s first infected cabbie recalls his experience of stigmatization The first Thai taxi driver to be infected with COVID-19 has recalled the stigmatization he experienced and pleaded with members of the public to open their minds and not shun those who have recovered from the disease. The CCSA made the story of Mr. Thongsook Thongrach public. He contracted the contagion from foreign customers during the early stages of the outbreak in this country. He said that he was shocked and cried when he was told by doctors that he was infected with the Wuhan virus, because there was no known cure. Especially if you test positive and the result is getting confined in a hospital with sick people for two weeks.
