Ahead of Trump rally, coronavirus cases surge in Oklahoma, other states

First of all, there are a huge number of demonstrations. I congratulate you and your fellow right wingers on your tenacity in characterizing them all, or most of them, as riots. The vast majority are peaceful.

And of course, you completely evade the issue of why President Trump is not strongly endorsing the use of masks. Instead he treats it as a matter of personal choice. Except when he's accusing someone of wearing a mask in order to make political statement.

Anytime a right of center group gathers they are all racist and Nazis and hell bent on violence but left of center are peaceful except for a few bad apples.

Another evidence-free assertion.

I stand corrected. CNN has reported that these protests are "causing concern." Not that they are actually, unequivocally, causing an actual Covid issue--no, they're causing a "concern." And this is your argument for objective journalism? Now, imagine if these same protestors had right-wing politics. Would their behavior be a matter of "concern"? I hardly think so. Somehow, I think they would use far stronger language.

If you had cared to open the link, you would have found out that the title of the article was "The protests are raising fears of a spike in coronavirus cases". It cannot be more explicit, right?

And your indisputable scientific evidence on the efficacy of mask-wearing is . . . where?

They are?  Blimey, it's worse thn I thought.

Since you are, I suspect, closer in outlook to the racists and nazis, I will take your word for it.

And once again, no mention of anyone left of center not wearing masks. It's only Trump and his supporters that are the problem. How many times do you need to reiterate your pathetic bias?

How hard is it to understand a basic concept?

TRUMP is the President.  He is the one they all look to.  He has a higher moral responsibility than any other individual to lead by example.

Now a few weeks after the rally.

Quote

Herman Cain, who attended Trump’s Tulsa rally, hospitalized with covid-19

To be clear, there is no way of knowing that Cain got infected at the rally, but he certainly could have.

Wow, someone got infected after going to a rally. Given the *experts* tell us the virus doesn't spread at riots but does at Trump rallies, your post is pretty laughable. Never wonder why rational people laugh at the *experts* and *scientists*.

Irrational people such as epidemiologists have been doing studies that show  groups of people are about 20 times more likely to contract covid in a closed space than out of doors. Good thing to learn that rational people ignore data.

Are these the same rational people who laughed at the wearing of masks in public venues?

If so, I have some very sad news for them. In the face of a very sharp spike in hospitalizations due to covid-19, the irrational Marxist governor of Texas has made mask-wearing mandatory for the vast majority of Texans. In so doing, he followed the advice of irrational and laughable epidemiologists. Not so long ago, the previous rational right-wing Republican governor of actually forbade localities from making mask-wearing mandatory. Oddly enough both the irrational Marxist governor and his predecessor, the rational right wing governor,  share the same name: Greg Abbott.

Abbott issues statewide face covering requirement for Texans

Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statewide face covering requirement on Thursday as the coronavirus outbreak continued to worsen in Texas.

"Governor Greg Abbott today issued an Executive Order requiring all Texans to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth in public spaces in counties with 20 or more positive COVID-19 cases, with few exceptions," the order read.

The mask isn't about safety. It's about compliance.

Perhaps you should contact the Vice President and let him know.

Ooops...best make that VP Pence, and Mitch McConnell.

Ph dear.  Now even Trump says you should wear a mask.

Where are the anti-maskers going tolook to next?  Xi?  Un?  Bolsenaro?

The list of disctators you can follow grows shorter by the day.

Clearly I am reading and listening to the wrong channels for my information as I have never seen or heard a single expert saying that the virus "does not spread at rallies but does at Trump rallies".  Can you supply a link to one.  Just one.  Please.

Difference is virus spread at Trump rally will be news for a week whereas  virus spread at mass protests will never make the news.
