What is the current status of Pattaya?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of stopping via Pats for a few nights.

From what I understand the beaches are still closed. Is this correct?. If so it is quite stupid considering low level of deaths in Thailand from the china virus.

What about normal massage shops- not P4P (pay4play) ones. Are they open eg the ones on 2nd road?

Any bars open for a beer on beach road?

thanks

Beach and massage shops are open. Some massage shops have sold up or not re-opened, still plenty of choice. Restaurants are able to serve alcohol if you have a meal. Times restricted at present: 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 11pm. Again, some are not re-opened. Red Steps at Soi 2 on Beach Rd is one that is open.

Also on Jomtien beach there seemed to have been a major incident (maybe drowning) near to where the fishing boats land and sell their catch.

Beaches are open but large gathering and drinking alcohol is not permitted there.

Regular massage shops have opened, irregular too!

Bars are not allowed to open but restaurants can serve alcohol with meals.

The Bangkokians are pouring in at weekends.

Tree town in Buakhao is getting very popular at night usually until it's raided by police.

All types of massages are available incl P2P. Bars expected to open 2 July, hopefully gogos not too long after.

It's funny on thai visa no one wants a P2P massage...

🤣Yea it would be real stupid to make a trip to Pattaya since beaches and massage places are still closed, let not forget that there is no booze and a curfew in place too!🤔

In one word.....Eft ! Still no word on when bars may open, and a proposed list of bar rules and regs that would make operation of any establishment close to impossible 😞

About 10 days ago the "Tree Tops Scene" seemed to fulfill the needs and desires of the after dark crowd  from farangs to ladies to locals.  It was quiet and peaceful around town, safe to cross a road, and all most needed to have "fun".   I am going back soon.

Mate come on down. Hotel will be pleased with the business.

Beaches are open. IMOH Jomtien is good for walking and very busy at the weekend. You can have a beer/wine at a restaurant.

rumour has it bars will open on July 1 so may be best to wait for that is what you prefer.
