Tragedy strikes as two young children die trapped in abandoned taxi

Recommended Posts

Very sad

The kids had probably never ben in a car and had no idea what all the switches and handles were for, so had no idea how to open a door.

All cars can be opened from the inside, battery flat or not.

Not if the childproof locks are engaged.

So he had abandoned the car for 3 years, wasn't normally there........and never saw children playing in it. What an excuse!

Yes - stop leaving your old <deleted> lying around - risk to kids and an eyesore.

The rear doors could have had the child safety locks on, which means not openable from the inside. The police say they may have entered from the driver's door, which begs the question why did they not get back to the front of the car? One possible answer is for children of that age, it would be much easier for them to climb from the front seat over to the back, but to climb back to the front may have been impossible, due to the height from back floor to the top of front seats. A tragedy in every sense of the word, RIP young ones.

Like not letting a 5 and 6 year old go out to play anywhere they want to unaccompanied?

Yeah.

Not sure what your comment implies or are you just being sarcastic ???

i think you should post such a comment/warning when posting any article about a fatality, not just in this case.
