Akarakit Worawojcharoendet - the high society big bike racer better known as "Benz Racing" - is in the news again after police in Bangkok arrested him and several others for dangerous riding and breaking the emergency decree.

Eight people were arrested on seven bikes on Viphavadee Rangsit Road. Benz was on a Yamaha T-Max with Bangkok plates.

Benz vociferously denied racing and attempting to flee the scene, reported Daily News.

His mother Supornpen, 58, complained she was made to wait all day before successfully posting bail in the sum of 40,000 baht. She stumped up the cash for all seven defendants handing over 280,000 to Thung Song Hong police.

She said that she had arrived at Viphavadee police station in the early morning and thought that it was just a case of the riders using the expressway part of the road. But they were later transferred to Thung Song Hong station further north where they faced the emergency decree charge and dangerous driving allegation.

They are all due to appear in Don Muang court today at 10 am.

Benz, who married a famous Thai actress, was convicted of drug related money laundering in 2018 and handed an eight year jail term commuted to four years because of a guilty plea. He was also given bail then.

Explain this to me, anyone !!!!!

He's appealing the conviction so he's on bail that he's entitled to.

If he violated the provisions of being out on bail awaiting his appeal court hearing then the stupid SOB should be back in Jail serving out his time on his conviction until the appeals hearing.

...and if he didn't "violate the terms of his bail" there's no reason for him to be sent to prison.

This is truly a dreadful and absolutely horrific miscarriage of justice.

How is it possible that a reputable, upright, wealthy, and responsible pillar of society (and his mommy)…can be confused with an immature, irresponsible, reckless, selfish, untrustworthy, dishonest, pompous, and habitual criminal (and his mommy)?

Clearly the police in question are sorely in need of a harsh scolding and intensive remedial training in HiSo respect.

Hopefully the courts will immediately correct this scandalous misunderstanding....so the unfortunate victim (and his mommy) can return to their normal lives.

Well said. ????
