"officials will send drones to evaluate the situation before deploying rescue teams".......?

If they're human drones, it will fail.....if they're airborne drones, they'll crash!

Who will keep the cameras working on the drones? They aren't too good keeping the ones on the streets working are they!

No doubt accompanied with the usual raft of paper work which the country has so far not got rid of in the much promoted 4.0 scheme.

WHY do you NOT have faith in all what they want to do?!!!!

They should use drones to catch helmetless motor bike drivers.....and 4 or 5 on a bike !!!!

Perhaps they should start with the basics, like when people turn a tap on, water comes out.  Now there's a smart city idea.  🙂

Same city that cant solve drainage problems?

All i can see is drones being used to pick up the monthly brown envelopes so the plod can sit on their backsides even longer.

Drone delivery is everything but smart. Airborne packets waste a lot of energy to stay airborne ( to balance gravity force ).

Its like a vehicle which accelerates all the time , plus the usual acceleration along the orthogonal axis

Smart city? It is almost dead at the moment. 90% of businesses are still closed.

Without foreign tourists it will be dead. The usual Bangkokian tourists over the weekend can’t save the place unfortunately.

Let’s hope this virus madness ends and things will go back to normal.

PS

Even if the restrictions are lifted for pubs and bars in July there won’t be enough customers to keep the places running without the foreign tourists. Still tough time ahead for many people.

Sounds like they don't want tourists so they can create the "digital" paradise.

Anyway it's just more nonsense so they can sound important. Not going to happen.

Unless bride seekers and orgy seekers are allowed to enter Thailand, it will remain so. But I like it. Everything that I need is available. Roads are not packed with songtaws ferrying bride seekrs/orgy seekers from bars to bars.

He added that the government’s Bt1.5-trillion Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) infrastructure scheme would boost the annual number of tourists, business and investment visitors to 70 million.

1.5 trillion baht !!!   Good news for Mercedes , a lot of high end cars will soon be purchased.
