I’m surprised the Russian hammer and sickle and the Japanese flags also survived the pc scrutinisers over the years.

This one is an affront in most countries in Asia.

It's 2020 and Thai authorities must have seen this individual cruising the streets of Bangkok before.

I'm sure they have, what would you expect them to do?

This is not Germany where such signs would be illegal, far from it.

well you seem to have proved my point, that Thais know nothing of history. If you honestly think that WW2 was just farangs against farangs then that is breathtaking ignorance of the truth. I doubt that Hitler even knew where Siam was, but  as he hated all of humanity, including the Germans, I guess that by default that included all Asians.

t would show Thais have no idea about what the swastika stands for

Well maybe they do! Before it became the logo of the nazi's it had another meaning in the old religions...you can google it if you want the full explanation of the swastika.

i thought many of y'all left your nanny states behind for more freedom.

surprising that many would want the thai government to enforce censorship.

you remind me of californians who've turned their state into a madhouse, then escaping to texas or colorado, and then demanding they do things like back in 'californy.

the united states, despite the recent pc madness, still guarantees free speech.

there is a nazi party and a communist party.  it's legal to display swastikas, hand out nazi party brochures, and even march in public in full ss uniform.  i think the national socialists and the communists each occasionally run candidates in presidential elections.

it's not free speech if we only protect the speech we ourselves agree with.

can't count the number of times on college campus i've heard "i believe in free speech, but you shouldn't be allowed to say _________."

educate 'em.  if you ban it, you just make it sexy.

If it's a black swastika inside a white circle on a field of red, it only means one thing.

A great many Thais have no idea about history, their own or anyone elses, or that there was a WW2, or that their own country just caved in and collaborated with the Japanese.  To them, this will be just an unusual symbol that they came across, with no significance attached to it in their minds. Ignorance is bliss, never a truer phrase.

100% correct. Would not know who Hitler was or represented. 100% no history knowledge  outside Thailand and not much about their own history either.

The OP about Nazi.

Nazi Germany invaded Austria and Czechoslovakia and parts of France (Rhineland) just before WW2. Then they invaded Poland, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Norway, the USSR, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece
