Popular Post Damrongsak
Little 50cc road race bike. Sounds good at 14,000 RPM. There's just something about a bike where the tachometer starts at 8K RPM.

ktm jeff
KPH. Maxed at 160. Not bad for an engine not much bigger than a strimmer/bush whacker. Amazing bikes , those Krielders.

Damrongsak
I've been looking into these 50 cc bikes the last few days. Pretty amazing. They will do about 160 kph, but it takes about a 14 speed gearbox to keep one in the power band, which is about 15,000, +/- 250 RPM. They got to about 350 - 400 horsepower per liter. Wowie, Zowie! The 80cc and 125cc were cool. Not as hard to drive as the little ones.
papa al
Nowadays, street bicycles can have 18 or 21 gear-ratios/speeds. Fancy aero one do 144kph + Edited July 4, 2020 by papa al

I saw somewhere where one record attempt wasn't successful because a bug got splattered on the shell. Must have screwed up the aerodynamics. (I hope it didn't take out the camera!) Popular Post Damrongsak
Suzuki had a little rotary valve twin 50 in mid-late 1960's that was pretty good. They developed a 50cc 3 cylinder V engine (RP68) that was supposed to debut in 1968, but the rules changed to single cylinder only. 380 BHP/liter.
Damrongsak
And this is the era when we got crappy looking bike engines, all covered up in fairings.
Loong Boon Mee
I love those little bikes. I was lucky enough to see a 1960s Honda 50cc GP racer. 50cc four stroke, 2cyl, 110lbs. A jewel.
