webfact
Thai woman ordered 200K hit on ex husband after he threatened her with drug dealing exposure Picture: Sanook Police in Songkhla in southern Thailand are investigating an alleged murder for hire hit on a husband by his estranged wife. And they say they have turned down a 2 million baht bribe. Santi, 29, was found shot on June 22nd in the Singhanakhon police area. He had been shot by both 11 mm and 9 mm guns. Five casings were found at the scene along with a bag of 2,000 Ya Ba pills. Three warrants were subsequently issued for the victim's ex wife - with whom he had two children - and the two hired killers. Jenjira, or Jane, aged 27 is now in custody but denies murder for hire. Two men called Suphanat and Kampanat are being sought. Police think they have a solid case against all involved. They said that the victim went to the police in early June after being attacked. He suffered an arm wound that needed 150 stitches. He was involved in a disputed divorce settlement in which he was claiming 700,000 baht and a car. He threatened to expose his wife for drug dealing if he didn't get what he wanted. Police said that she got to him first via the men she hired for 200,000 baht to kill. Following the arrest the police said they were approached by someone offering 2 million baht to make the case go away. They declined. Jane is in custody and the hunt for the hired killers is now on as the inquiry unearths connections in the drug world of Songkhla. AlexRich
Hit men in Thailand are absolutely useless, they all seem to get caught within a few hours of the deed. Fail to plan, plan to fail. Did those two westerners that shot the boiler room Brit a few years back and fled to Cambodia ever get caught?

BritManToo
700k divorce settlement would have been cheaper than the 2M bribe. Just saying.

That's logical, pay 700k and buy him out. She could carry on the business... but Thais aren't logical. Pay 200k for a hit and risk everything !
