An artist’s drawing of the proposed sports park under the Bali Hai flyover.

Pattaya will spend 10 million baht to build a sports park under the Bali Hai flyover.

The city council approved the budget June 29, making use of urban dead space that recently had been taken over by homeless people.

Construction between the pier and Thappraya Road will begin Aug. 20 and take about a year to complete.

Someone has been smoking some pretty good stuff to think this one up, or maybe they have a cousin they need to employ as a builder for xxx.. amount of money.  Hair Brained Idea really as unless it is well lit and has easy access and security, scumbags will take over the under belly of the bridge...instead of the homeless.  Just fence the whole underside in so that it is inaccessible to everyone....

Hope it doesn’t end up like a huge hang out cage for stray dogs.

The past is not meant to be a guide for the future but if it were you would probably still be reading about them in 10 years time.......

A great idea and they could feed them with the carcasses of the displaced homeless.

Small project doable!  The Indoor stadium been under construction for ten plus years money stolen over and over again from the officials. 120 million taken from the project to widen Beach Road the first time then another 120 million for the signal lights the list goes on maybe they will finish it by 2050 for the project Asian games?🤣

I really cannot think of a more unhealthy place to play sport than under a road. What you gain in fitness, you may lose in lung diseases
