"Coronavirus: 'I'm all for masks,' says Trump in change of tone"

"Mr Trump said he would have "no problem" with wearing a mask publicly and that he "sort of liked" how he looked with one on, likening himself to the Lone Ranger."

Yes, I can see him turning up in a Lone Ranger eye mask at the conferences. Possibly the most useless of all masks.

People knew and know about the Virus and it's contagiousness .

Some choose to ignore it and to put financial reasons above health .

It is only logic that when people do not protect themselves against the spread of the virus , they take a high risk of becoming infected themselves .

They should not complain about what happens now . It is their own fault .

If they prefer to go out partying or to crowded places like some beaches , public transport etc , without any protective measures , they will see a rise in infections . That's logic .

There is no way to ever go back to the old ' normal ' .

If want to get rid of the Virus , everybody needs to do everything possible to prevent the spread . All the time .

That will not happen ... so , need to learn to live with it now .

Not sure if an effective vaccine will be found , there was no vaccine against SARS .

Even if a vaccine will be found , the virus mutates constantly ...

Or a new one appears .

Finally , this might be the beginning of the End , the Apocalypse .

May be it was about time for this ...?

Nearly 25% of British people have plan to survive zombie ...

The Amazon rainforests are still on fire. If Trump won't act ...

Now that containment is blown out of the water in the USA - as to be expected from a developing nation, it will be interesting to see what the excess deaths will be and if it matches otter counties at the times they didn’t lock down.

ironically, once everyone there has it, those that die will be gone and those that got it and require medical care for the side effects for the rest of their lives will be forgotten - USA may actually be able to get back on track faster than other countries. There will be parties in the streets for those that “survived COVID 19”, and the excess deaths forgotten / explained away by same mortality as the flu, which, it isn’t, but it will make them feel better to think it is.

Winston Churchill summed it up brilliantly,

"You can always count on the US doing the right thing, once they have tried everything else'

or something like that.

The need to get a "leader" before there will be much change who can & will do something,

His latest "sooner or later it will go away" to me is just showing total contempt, arrogance

& total lack of compassion for the people he knows will die, whilst he stays in his bubble doing nothing

I am stunned that some are dumb enough that they believe Trump has handled it well.

Truth is that no president would have done better, that does not mean that Trump handled it well, it just means thats the way the country is.

You can make laws, you can advise, but the end of the day its up to the people and local states in how its managed.

It came from China, but the left are being blamed by these same folks

The left has plenty of blame, and dont forget that the top democrats are briefed on intelligence as well, so they knew and had a very good idea of what was coming - they barely said anything and spent the first few weeks of the outbreak fighting Trump on everything he was trying to do.

They then politicized the pandemic. Gretchen Whitmer is a perfect example of someone who was using it as a platform to springboard herself into a possible VP slot and her constituents be damned.

40% approval of Trump's handling of the pandemic. Pretty much tells you all you need to know about that basketcàse country. A former FDA Commissioner thinks there are already 100k new cases a day.

Yes but all will be fine because Trump has declared that he is all in favour of face masks after all!  Thank god that the USA has such a well balanced intelligent individual in charge!

I suggested back in late March, that Covid had already beaten Trump, with a TKO,  one minute into the first round of the fight. Now? He is looking more and more like a lame duck, every day. I predict he is going to get beaten badly. "Sleepy" Joe seems to be waking up! If Covid were not enough, you have his historic and epic failure with the Floyd situation. Poor Don. He cannot seem to get anything right, these days. Bye bye!

I believe 40% think tRump did ok.  I read the comments on our local news stories  you cant believe how  many people think the virus is not real.    There were two companies in the County south of me who required workers to come to work even sick.  And suggested workers not talk about the virus or if they tested positive.  One company was a  roof truss manufacturing company and the other was some kind of energy bar manufacturing company.  Many workers at these places of employment got the virus. It was in the news that two companies violated many state  Covid rules but they county health agency would not name these companies until finally the local media lawsuit went through this week, 3 months later.  Using a FOIA document request the media even found an email where the health department boss sent out an email warning their employees about these two companies but to keep this quiet and private.   When you read the comments you cannot believe how many people think it was government overreach to try to tell a company how to run its business and a travesty that they revealed the names of these two companies. Comments like government has run roughshod over the company. You must read these comments on all these covid related stories to understand the true feeling s, beliefs,  and brain power of the vast majority of Mormon people in Utah.

read the comments.
