According to a Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand notification, distributed to Air Operators, the seven groups of foreigners expected to be allowed entry from 1st July, must have appropriate insurance policies.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - With performers wearing facemasks as well as bikinis, Bangkok's red-light districts reopened on Wednesday after more than three months of shutdown to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Pattaya fun reopening a damp squib

Most of the bars and clubs in Boyztown were firmly shuttered but one was offering drinks on the terrace.

 

Hopes that Covid-19 hasn’t temporarily crucified Pattaya’s entertainment industry were dashed on the evening of July 1 when the stormy heavens opened and created a deathly silence below.  The date had been eagerly awaited after the Thai government allowed bars and clubs to throw off their padlocks, subject to a mere 22 health and safety regulations.  And a 12 midnight closing time for all.

PHUKET:-- Operators in Phuket’s tourism industry have been urged to prepare to receive the first international tourists in months in August as the Ministry of Tourism & Sports pursues its strategy of restarting the country’s economy, Phuket Chamber of Commerce President Thanusak Phungdet told The Phuket News today (July 1).

Opposition slams Thai Government for indifference to economic realities

Members of the Opposition described the 3.3 trillion baht 2021 fiscal budget as being disconnected from reality, with a likelihood that a large portion of the money will be wasted.
